Comprenew

Compassionate Renewal of Our Vital Resources

The Comprenew Community Keeps 250,000 lbs of e-Waste out of our landfills in April!

May 3, 2010

Comprenew Environmental celebrated Earth Day throughout April by making an extraordinary effort with many of our corporate partners and community organizations to collect e-Waste. Comprenew offered many special opportunities to recycle e-Waste including an event held at our e-Thrift store that collected over 13,000 lbs alone.

Comprenew partnered with a number of organizations to hold Saturday e-Waste collection drives in Grand Rapids, Holland, Ionia, Sidney, Cedar Springs and Bloomfield Township and also worked with many corporate clients on employee collection drives.

For the entire month of April, Comprenew processed 252,842 pounds of e-Waste - over 126 tons!

E-Waste is a major environmental concern, and Comprenew's zero-landfill policy addresses the problem head-on in West Michigan. Unwanted electronics can either become toxic refuse or recycled goods.  With the help of Comprenew’s Best Practice recycling programs and the enthusiastic participation in the communities and corporate clients we serve, we can truly make a difference.

Thank you to all of you that contributed in April and celebrated Earth Day with us! Let's keep it going throughout spring and summer!
